Careington is seeking a National Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. In this role, you'll will plan and carry out marketing and sales activities, primarily outbound telemarketing, directed to current and prospective wholesale business and employer group clients.  Your focus will be on retail sales of Careington's dental, health and other lifestyle products.
The National Sales Representative will perform the following duties:

What You'll Do

  • Plan and execute direct marketing activities that meet budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales
  • Identify market potential by qualifying accounts
  • Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments, making initial presentation and understanding account requirements
  • Close sales by building a rapport with potential accounts, explaining the company's product and service capabilities, overcoming objections and preparing agreements
  • Expand sales of existing accounts by introducing new products and services and developing new applications
  • Recommend and identify potential needs for new products and services by evaluating current product sales results
  • Travel as necessary and represent Careington in a trade show setting

What You'll Have

  • High school degree - Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Pipeline or other CRM systems:
    • Small Businesses
    • Affinity Groups
    • Agents (existing and new)
    • Inbound Sales Calls
    • Alternative distribution channels, (i.e., physicians' offices, pharmacy chains, etc.)
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn as a platform for sales networking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with outbound sales phone calls; average of 30 – 40 per day can be expected
  • 2 - 4 years of outbound telesales experience preferred
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in account development, cold calling, opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and call control preferred
  • 2 – 3 years of direct work experience in marketing, sales, public relations or related business development role desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
